Professor David Carpenter

David Carpenter is a Professor of Medieval History at King’s College London and Principal Investigator of the Henry III Fine Rolls Project, now in its second phase of Arts and Humanities Research Council funding. His interest in British history in general and the history of Scotland in particular derives from researching and writing a volume in the New Penguin History of Britain: The Struggle for Mastery: Britain 1066-1284 (2004). He is the author of The Battles of Lewes and Evesham 1264/1265 (1987), The Minority of Henry III (1990), The Reign of Henry III (1996) and numerous other papers in books and learned journals.
